Doug Staats

Doug is originally from Maryland near our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. In 1966 he married his lovely wife, Sharon – they have now been married for 40 years. They have 2 grown daughters, Donna and Sheila, and 2 beautiful granddaughters.

In 1967 Doug joined the Navy and was sent west to San Diego to join his ship the USS Canberra (CAG-2/CA-70). He made 2 cruises to Viet Nam where he and his shipmates performed shore bombardment in support of the war effort.

During Doug's time in the service he and Sharon fell in love with the San Diego area and decided to make it their home. After his separation from the Navy Doug spent the next 18 years working as an Engineering Manager for Pacific Bell (now ATT) and retired from that position in 1987.

Doug and Sharon attend Grace Community Church in Sun Valley where he serves as an usher each Sunday morning. In 1988 Doug became the Director of Development for Grace to You, a Christian media ministry whose principal speaker is his pastor at Grace.

After retiring for a 2nd time Doug decided to join the team of REALTORS® at Pacific Oak Realty and Loan Officers at Lending Mart. He has gained a great deal of experience in the years since and enjoys the work tremendously.

In addition, in the later part of 2006 Doug discovered eBay and the joys of selling there.  As a result of that this website has come to be.

Doug and Sharon have lived in Valencia for 23 years now and certainly consider it home.
